Club Atlético La Paz and Correcaminos de la UAT shared the points on the 10th day of the Clausura 2024.
The Paceños had a chance to come from behind in the final minutes, but the score ended 1-1.
In the first half there were opportunities for both sides. The Baja California Sur team had a header by Flavio Santos that Vladimir Moragrega cleared off the goal line. Minutes later, Correcaminos had a similar play in which Joaquín Estopier shot, but Horacio Torres also denied him on the line.
In the second half, at minute 51, the referee Áxel Méndez awarded a penalty kick in favor of the visitors. Giovanni Hernández took the penalty but his shot hit the crossbar.
The scoreboard opened in the 73rd minute. The visitors took the lead with a goal by Vladimir Moragrega, who made the law of the ex valid. The Los Mochis-born striker took advantage of a cross that was combed in at the near post to push the ball into the back of the net.
The Paceños' response came almost immediately. Club Atlético La Paz got the tie from a corner kick; Horacio Torres headed the ball into the net in the 76th minute.
Just a minute later, the Aurinegros could have pulled one back with a header by Ulises Jaimes, but goalkeeper Antonio Sanchez was the hero, saving the ball and sending it to the corner kick.
The score remained 1-1 and each team earned a point. Club Atlético La Paz will play again at Estadio Guaycura on Friday, March 22 against Alebrijes in their match corresponding to Matchday 12.
